In Ryszard Hunka’s photographic series, the skin becomes a site of transformation—both material and metaphor.
Using found objects and hand-built stencils chosen by the model for their personal significance, Hunka stamps impressions onto the body, treating it as a temporary canvas.
The camera captures and preserves these fleeting imprints. At once playful and melancholic, the stark black-and-white images explore the tension between permanence and ephemerality, celebrating the body as a vessel of personal narratives and vulnerability.
