Show runs: April 1 - April 30 and will be viewable to the public Tuesdays to Saturdays from 12pm to 4pm.

We Are Brandon captures the unique and wonderful people who define our city through the lens of documentary photographer Weichen Zhang:

“As a new resident, photography serves as a wonderful language, giving me the opportunity to connect with local residents. To me, the strongest connection to a city comes from having friends here and forming deep emotional ties.

In my opinion, what defines a city is the people who live here. A city depends not only on its economy, geographic location, population size, history, and culture, but also on the people behind these figures.

Through this project, I have also been constantly thinking about a question. When we talk about a city, what do we actually use to describe it? Its name? Its landscape and scenery? Its past? Its customs? If it were me, I would choose to tell the stories of the people who live here.”
