Shaken Alive is a collaborative project by photographer Anthony Schellenberg and his partner, author Angeline Schellenberg, of abstract photos and poems in conversation. Completed during an artist residency at saint benedict’s table, in response to the lectionary passages for Eastertide, these images use motion blur to portray an ancient future, a trusting-doubt in motion: unclear yet full of light. With the loss of certainty comes supernatural imagination— transforming a crosswalk into a flowing robe, a string of lights into a nesting place, wildflowers into tongues of flame.
