PHOTOGRAPHY – 3X3
Arts AccessAbility Network Manitoba
102-329 Cumberland Avenue, Winnipeg
Kelly-Jo Dorvault, Douglas Ingram, Marie LeBlanc
3x3 showcases the work of three photographers, each with a sensitivity for the environment around them. Through landscape, close-up, or ghostly overlay, each artist speaks to the beauty and harshness found in nature and their experience as a disabled Manitoban artist.
KELLY-JO DORVAULT is a teacher and her multi-media art practice deeply rooted in landscape, playing with perspective to portray the absence of direct human and animal interaction.
DOUGLAS INGRAM: Ingram’s photography is an exercise in “deep seeing”, that is, looking at the familiar and discovering the extraordinary through intense and consistent observation.
MARIE LEBLANC: Marie LeBlanc is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist exploring themes related to landscape, isolation, beauty, health and nature.
Public opening April 4, 6-9pm
