Usually when working with film, we plan, compose, adjust, wind the film, and then setting and clicking the shutter. The images in Off the Cuff were all captured while side- stepping, forgetting, or reversing some of these steps. Be it winding the film and setting the shutter first, haphazardly putting the camera down, or taking an unplanned walk, each image embodies a moment where—by choice or by chance— routine was broken.
