Cyanotype Workshop

Join us for a fun Saturday afternoon of Cyanotype making at Forum Art Centre!

We will explore a 19th century camera-less photographic process that creates blue and white images under UV light exposure, and experiment with altering the colours of our prints with natural toners made of coffee, teas, and herbs. If weather permits, participants will expose prints outside at Coronation Park – which is right beside the art studio!

Participating artists should bring any personal items they would like to create prints with - the Cyanotype process will not damage them. Some ideas of objects to print with include: jewelry, shells, leaves, flowers, mesh, net, sheer fabric, crystals, knick-knacks, utensils, glasses, negative or positive film, drawings on acetate (sheets will be supplied), and much more!

Please come dressed for the weather and for art making, it might be a bit messy!
